ADD work hard to understand the local communities in which we work, as well as the context, character and history of a site, ensuring that what we design has a positive contribution on the local area, and is received positively by planners and locals alike.

 

Navigating the planning process can be a long, frustrating and exhausting experience for those who do not have the correct knowledge and skills. Planning is a game where the rules are unpredictable and constantly changing, as planning policy varies from council to council, and the interpretation of these policies is often subjective.

 

ADD knows how to de-risk the planning process, and has an impeccable success rate when it comes to securing planning permission on challenging sites.  We work on the principle that carefully designed homes of exceptional quality, which respond sensitively to context and local character, will be welcomed by the planners.  We look to work collaboratively with the local planning departments, often meeting with them several times prior to a full application being submitted.
